Lately I’ve been trying to increase my energy conservation, mostly because I’m freezing. The thing I’ve done so far that killed a lot of drafts in my older home was to use spray foam insulation around the exterior wall outlets. Here are the details of how I used latex spray foam insulation to seal up the wall outlets.
Because I’ve been running Ubuntu for a little while I knew I wanted to set up my recently installed version of Kubuntu to handle restricted formats like MP3s, DVDs and a variety of multimedia formats like .wmv files.
The easiest way I found to accomplish this is to open Konsole and type:
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-restricted-extras
This installed the necessary libraries and programs to handle the content as well as the Java 6 jdk.
